Terms of Service
Last updated 23 July 2026
Draft product policies for preview. Replace placeholder operator details and have counsel review before public launch.
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Mirrel (the “Service”), operated by [Operator Name] (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Mirrel lets you photograph clothing, store a personal wardrobe in your browser, and try garments on in real time using camera-based virtual try-on powered by Decart. Features, plans, and availability may change.
Billing and subscription screens in the app may be previews. Paid plans are not binding until we enable a payment provider and you complete checkout.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your country of residence. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
4. Your content and wardrobe
You retain ownership of photos and items you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content as needed to provide the Service (including sending garment images and camera frames to our try-on provider during an active session).
You are responsible for having the rights to the images you upload and for not uploading unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, overload, or reverse engineer the Service or Decart integrations
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, quotas, or security controls
- Use try-on features to harm, harass, or impersonate others
- Upload malware or content that violates applicable law
6. Camera and try-on
Virtual try-on requires camera access. Face presence checks may run on your device. During an active try-on session, live video and selected garment images are processed by Decart to generate the try-on stream. You can stop the camera or try-on at any time in the app.
7. Local-first storage
In the current preview, wardrobe and account preferences are stored primarily on your device (browser storage). Clearing site data or switching devices may permanently remove your wardrobe unless and until we offer cloud sync.
8. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties such as Decart. Their terms and availability may affect features. We are not responsible for outages or changes outside our control.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Virtual try-on is approximate and not a guarantee of fit, color, or appearance.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under mandatory consumer protection law in the EU/EEA or other applicable jurisdictions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, wardrobe contents, profits, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) EUR 50 (or local equivalent), except where liability cannot be limited.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete local data from Account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction, e.g. Sweden], without regard to conflict of law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence (including EU Member States) continue to apply. US users may also have rights under applicable state law.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
